No User Accounts

From Idea to Factory does not offer user accounts. You do not need to register, log in, or provide any personal information to use the guides or any of the tools on this site.

Tools Run in Your Browser

The Cost Calculator and Idea-to-Factory Planner run entirely in your browser. All data you enter—component names, quantities, prices, product descriptions, and other inputs—is processed and stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage feature. This data:

• Is never uploaded to a server
• Is never transmitted over the network
• Remains only in the browser you are using
• Can be cleared at any time using the "Clear saved data" button in the calculator

If you are using a shared or public device, avoid entering confidential supplier pricing or proprietary product information. You can clear saved data after use.

Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the site. GA4 collects standard page interaction data (such as page views and clicks) but does not collect free-text product descriptions, calculator inputs, or any answers entered into the tools. No advertising scripts, remarketing tags, or third-party tracking pixels are used.

Email Contact

If you contact us by email, your message is handled entirely through your own email provider and the recipient's email service. We do not use a contact form that stores data on a server. Email communication is not encrypted by this website.

Local Storage

The tools use localStorage to auto-save your work. localStorage is a browser feature that stores data on your device. You can clear this data by:

• Clearing your browser's site data in your browser settings
